Every Friday there is live music in The Cave!!! And of course it's all about rock and metal.   Want to play a gig on our stage?   Here's how it works: >Send a demo to: Rockclub The Cave Prinsengracht 472 1017 KG Amsterdam.   >Or drop your demo off behind the bar. We'll have a listen and let you know what we think.   >You can also send us an e-mail: bookings@thecave.nl   If we offer you a gig, the deal is this: >Bands get 75% of the entrance fee. This is usually € 3,- when just one band is playing, € 5,- when there are two bands. So the more fans you bring with you, the more money you make. >We publicise the gig in the press, on our website and on our bi-monthly full colour flyers. You make sure all your fans know about the gig through your website, e-mail, flyers ..... >Each member of the band gets 5 drink tokens. >We have a complete backline on stage and we prefer you to use it. (This also saves you some expenses.) Check the list >>>> >Only the vocals go over the PA, the rest of the sound is direct from the stage. >We have our own sound engineer. He will need a stage plan and rider at least one week before the gig. >Depending on the evening / number of bands, we start at 10 or 11 p.m. The soundcheck is at 7 p.m. and we are open from 8 p.m. >In short: Keep it simple! Plug and play! Rock 'n' Roll!

Rockclub The Cave - backline   Drum kit (Pearl): bass (single pedal), floor tom, 2 rack toms, snare Cymbals: hi-hat with stand 2 x crash, 1 x ride, with stands (2 straight, 1 boom) Guitar amps: 2 x Marshall Valvestate + cabinet (2 x 12") Bass amp: Ampeg SVT 200 + cabinet (4 x 10") Vocal mikes: 3 x Shure Sm58 + stands (2 straight, 2 boom) Monitors: 2 x front stage   Mixing desk behind the bar.   Things like keyboards, extra cymbals, double bass pedal etc. you have to bring yourself. Check this with us first, and we have to have a stage plan and rider one week in advance.
